~ Information Processing ~
This model is based predominantly on four main points: how information is input or acquired, how that information is then processed and encoded, where the information is then stored in the brain, how the brain is able to retrieve it, and what exactly are the processes used for each type of information.
For example, this model asks the questions, what are the processes utilized for attention, perception, memory, reasoning, and problem-solving, and further, how do these distinct cognitive processes interact and influence the flow of information from brain to mind, as we interpret, organize, and otherwise make sense of incoming information.
